Terms

These terms cover access to PassageShelf, including the paid plan.

Beta access

PassageShelf is still an evolving beta, paid plan included. Access may change, pause, or end while the product is tested, and features, availability and support are not final until general availability is announced. If that matters to you, the monthly plan exists so you are never committed for longer than a month.

Your use

Use the beta lawfully and only with content you have the right to store. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Your content and our product

You keep your rights in the material you add. PassageShelf and its visual identity remain the property of their owner. Do not copy, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or misuse the service except where applicable law allows it.

Plans and payment

There is a free plan and a paid one. The free plan keeps unlimited passages and notes, thirty cloud scans a month, and the daily digest; past those thirty, scanning still works through the app’s own recognition engines, which are never capped. The paid plan lifts the cloud-scan cap and adds browser notifications, the monthly recap, and the sharper re-reads of a scan you have already stored — both the deeper re-scan of a whole page and the finer read of a region you select.

The paid plan costs €4 per month or €39 per year, VAT included. Prices are shown before you pay and do not change during a subscription period you have already paid for. There is no lifetime plan; a lifetime offer floated during the beta was withdrawn before anyone was charged.

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which sells the subscription as merchant of record and issues your invoice. Card details never reach our servers. From Lemon Squeezy we receive the plan you are on, the customer and subscription identifiers, and the email address you gave them at checkout — used only to match a payment to your account. We also keep a dated log of the subscription events they send us: what happened and which plan it resolved to, so a question about your access can be answered later.

Renewals, cancelling and refunds

A subscription renews automatically, monthly or yearly to match what you chose, until you cancel. Cancel any time from the manage-subscription link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the paid features stay until the period you have already paid for ends, and nothing is removed early.

As a consumer in the EU you have fourteen days to withdraw from this purchase. A subscription is never fully performed inside those fourteen days, so the right stays open for the whole period; you do not have to give a reason, and we do not judge how much you used it. Because your access starts immediately, by buying the plan you ask us to begin straight away — the only consequence is that if you then withdraw, you pay for the days you actually had access and we refund the rest. To withdraw, email passageshelf@pm.me within fourteen days of your purchase; any clear statement will do. We refund within fourteen days of hearing from you, to the same payment method.

Separately, and on top of that right: if you are past the fourteen days and have barely used the paid features, write to us anyway — we would rather return the money than keep it from someone who did not want the plan.

Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy, so their payment terms apply alongside these. A refund ends the paid features; it never touches your library.

If a plan or the service ends

Losing the paid plan — by cancelling, by a refund, or through a failed payment — returns you to the free plan. Your books, passages, notes and uploads are untouched, and everything captured while paying stays yours.

Exporting your library is never behind the paid plan, and never will be. If PassageShelf has to shut down, we will give notice in time to export.
